How can I manage access via a remote location? We believe it is important to understand what “Remote Access Control” exactly means.

First of all, it means having a tracking system (LOGs) that allows you to clearly see who has entered or attempted to enter the gate you want to manage. Via LabKey you can also activate alerts in special cases that notify you by email or other systems (more info here).

This is surely a functionality that was born by modern needs. Every available kit can enable the virtual keypad that allows the user to control an access remotely. The application needs the user’s phone number and code to unlock the gate remotely. This means having an active internet connection is essential.
